Members of Winchester Composite Squadron:

I am sad to report that Major Rudy Fraterrigo, a member of our squadron and 62-year member of Civil Air Patrol, passed away yesterday following surgery at Winchester Medical Center on July 3, 2007.  Rudy was an active member of the squadron, a qualified Mission observer who recently flew a mission as Observer with Duke Stanton.  Rudy also participated in a Glider Day down at Culpepper, towing the glider into position for Cadet Orientation Rides.  Rudy was also our squadron Flight Release Officer and Transportation Officer.  He will be missed.

Mrs. Fraterrigo has requested Civil Air Patrol participation in his funeral and we will be providing a Color Guard, pall bearers, etc.  The funeral will be held at Hall's Funeral Home in Purcellville and we think it is going to be on Monday, but that date is not yet firm.  If you are able to attend once we have a firm date, please do so in Corporate or USAF style Class A or B uniform or in the Blue Blazer/Gray slacks combination.
